		<description>You are correct! Sorry if the post was unclear. The RAID card listed above works with ESXi and Solaris as a bare-metal host os. The Virtual Guest OS does not care about the actual hardware in the system.</description>

I stumbled upon your post while checking RAID cards compatible with ESXi. I didn&#039;t know the guest OS (Solaris, same in my case) was a parameter to take into account. Shouldn&#039;t hardware be abstracted as long as guest OS are concerned? Or do you have a dual boot with Solaris as a host OS too?
