Stupid Blog Clipart (don’t!)

Stupid clipart makes your blog look stupid. I know that you read somewhere that people love graphics… but do you really need this stupid stock photo attached to your article just to get people read it? Don’t add pointless graphics to your blog posts. It doesn’t do anything for your SEO, and just fills up your reader’s screen with worthless garbage. Instead try to create some content that people actually care about.

How will I know that an article is interesting without a sweet thumbs up webding or some amazing istock photo?

I think the clip art in this post lends it a certain pathos that it might not otherwise have had. Way to disprove your own point, Rob!
I think you are way off base on the whole clip art thing. Your blog leans toward a specific audience – and if you want to get the 30 year old hotties to read it you really need to post some pictures of David Boreanaz or Chad Micheal Murray.
Also, I really have to say that you using that specific stock art photo to portray pointless is interesting – as the guy is actually pointing with both hands… food for thought.
